About Mellon
Mellon helps you turn ideas into real plans with real people. Discover plans and events near you, join something that fits your mood, or post your own and see who's in.
A Plan is where people join to do something together, usually organized by an individual host. An Event is a public happening people can discover and attend, often with external joining details like tickets, an Instagram page, or a registration form.
No. Mellon is about meeting through plans and events. The focus is doing something together, not swiping based on profiles.
You can browse plans and events, join what interests you, post your own, and coordinate with participants through the plan chat.
Getting Started
You can explore, but you need an account to join, post, or chat within a plan.
Open the plan or event page and review the details. For Plans, you can join inside Mellon and then coordinate in the plan chat. For Events, you may see a 'How to join' link that takes you to tickets, registration, or the official page.
Open the Create menu and choose Plan or Event. Then add a title, date and time, location, and a short description. Events also include an extra 'How to join' field.
Events can include a 'How to join' link. You can add a link to tickets, Instagram, a form, or any page with joining details. If the event does not have a link, this section may be hidden.
Clear and specific plans work best. For plans, include an exact time and meeting point. For events, include the key details and a 'How to join' link when relevant.
Messaging
Chat is currently available within joined plans. When you join a plan, you gain access to the group chat for that plan. Direct person-to-person messaging is planned for a future update.
Safety
Mellon is designed around real-world meetups, so basic safety habits matter. Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your gut.
Each plan page includes a Report button. Use it if something is inappropriate or violates guidelines.
User reporting is not available yet. It will be introduced in an upcoming update. For now, you can report the plan directly from its page.
